10th January 2018

14th March 2018

If you need to speak to a doctor urgently, please dial 111 for the out of hours service.

When We Are Closedtelephone_brown

Non-Urgent Out of Hours medical advice is available when the surgery is not open. This can be accessed by calling the freephone number 111. Your call will then be triaged and directed to the appropriate health professional.

Derbyshire Health United Ltd  is committed to providing the highest quality of medical care that can be delivered at the right place and at the right time.

Our main services are to provide out of hours care to patients when their own GP practice is closed by offering telephone advice and triage, face to face consultations in a range of primary care centres stretched across the county or by consulting with patients in their own homes.

If you are calling on behalf of someone else please have relevant information available, such as:

  • address
  • date of birth
  • current medication
  • name of their GP.

If considered necessary you will be referred to a duty doctor or nurse Practitioner who will contact you and, either give further telephone advice, or ask you to attend a local centre or in appropriate circumstances visit you at home

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111. The NHS 111 service is staffed by a team of fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses. They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you straightaway to the local service that can help you best.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
